Oyama Dam — Eren, Mikasa and Armin Statues
A 94-metre dam wall as Wall Maria, with the three children standing beneath it.
The downstream plaza of the Oyama Dam holds life-size bronze statues of Eren, Mikasa and Armin as children, placed as they were at the moment they first saw a Titan appear over the wall. The dam itself, 94 metres of concrete, stands in for Wall Maria — and standing at the base of it is the point of the visit.
Pourquoi ça vaut le détour
Free, outdoors, and the scale does the work — no exhibit can reproduce standing under a 94-metre wall.
Quand y aller
Quiet almost all the time.
Bon à savoir
Public transport is sparse. A rental car, or the shuttle taxi tour run by the local tourism association, is the realistic way to combine this with the museum.
L'Attaque des Titans
The dam wall is 94 metres high and stands in for Wall Maria. The statues below show the three children at the moment they first saw a Titan.
