Be straight about this: Dragon Ball is set in an invented world, so there is no Shibuya-equivalent and nowhere to make a pilgrimage to. What there is, is better than it used to be. **DRAGON BALL STORE TOKYO** opened on the first floor of Tokyo Station Ichibangai in November 2025 — the first permanent official store anywhere in the world, one minute from the Shinkansen gates, with store-exclusive goods. The **Toei Animation Museum** in Oizumi-Gakuen is the actual studio that animated the series, and it is free. And the **Jump Shop** covers the rest of the merchandise. Author Akira Toriyama was from Kiyosu in Aichi and lived there all his life, but there is no monument or museum in the town. **About the theme park:** the world's first Dragon Ball theme park is being built — but **in Saudi Arabia, not Japan**. It is part of the Qiddiya development outside Riyadh: over 500,000 square metres, seven zones, more than thirty attractions and a 70-metre Shenron with a coaster running through it. Site preparation finished in 2025, full construction starts in 2026 and **the opening target is 2029**. It does not exist yet, and it will not be in Japan when it does. If you are planning a trip in the next few years, plan it around Tokyo Station and Oizumi-Gakuen.
