Golden Kamuy
Le Hokkaido de l'ère Meiji, et les bâtiments de l'histoire sont toujours debout.
Golden Kamuy is set in Meiji-era Hokkaido and Karafuto, and unusually for a period work, the buildings are still there. The **Abashiri Prison Museum** is an open-air museum of the actual prison buildings, some over 130 years old, and the Abashiri arc runs through volumes 6–14 — you walk through the rooms the story takes place in. The **Historical Village of Hokkaido** outside Sapporo has 52 relocated buildings, a large number of which were used as models. Both are real museums about Hokkaido's settlement and the Ainu, which is also what the series is about, so the visit works on both levels.
