Yamashita Park
The long waterfront park along the harbour, used constantly in the series. Takes about 30 minutes end to end.
A park built along the harbour front in the 1930s, with the retired liner Hikawa Maru moored alongside it. It runs for most of a kilometre and appears throughout the series. Chinatown is directly behind it.
Why it is worth it
It is free, open at any hour, and directly connects the rest of the locations. Evening, with the harbour lit, is when it looks most like the series.
When to go
Busy at weekends.
Good to know
Chinatown is two minutes away and solves dinner. Harbour View Park is a ten-minute climb up the hill behind it and is the last stop on the walk.
