Museum
Mizuki Shigeru Memorial Museum
The museum at the far end of the road, rebuilt and reopened in 2024.
The memorial museum at the end of Mizuki Shigeru Road, covering the author's life — his childhood in Sakaiminato, losing an arm in the war in New Guinea, the years of poverty drawing kamishibai and rental manga, and the yokai research that followed. It was rebuilt and reopened in 2024.
Why it is worth it
The war section is the part people do not expect. It changes how the cheerfulness of the yokai work reads.
When to go
Busiest in summer.
