A shrine on a rise in central Sasebo, reached by a long stone stairway, with the harbour and the town spread out below. It is the model for the shrine in the series.
Why it is worth it
Sasebo is a town of steep stairways, and this one gives you the whole port in one view.
When to go
Quiet.
Good to know
It is an active shrine. Bow at the torii and keep it brief. Combine it with Miuracho church and the slope, all within walking distance.
