A steep residential road climbing from Koyoen station to Hyogo Prefectural Nishinomiya-Kita High School, the model for the school in the series. The climb itself is the location fans come for. The school is being consolidated and renamed, so the name on the gate will not be there indefinitely.
Why it is worth it
Nishinomiya is one of the places where anime pilgrimage as a practice started, alongside Washimiya, and the town has stayed welcoming about it.
When to go
Quiet — it is a residential road.
Good to know
The school is a working school and you do not enter — photograph from the public road and nothing more. Students from several schools use this road, so do not block it, do not photograph pupils, and do not smoke here (it is prohibited around schools under the Hyogo ordinance). Traffic is heavy for a residential street; do not stop a car on it.
