Love Live!

Kanda Myojin in Akihabara, and an entire seaside town in Shizuoka.

Love Live! has two very different pilgrimage destinations. The original series is set around **Kanda Myojin**, a major shrine a few minutes' walk from Akihabara, which appears throughout and still sells series goods at its shop. Love Live! Sunshine!! moved the setting to **Numazu** in Shizuoka, and the town responded in a way few places have: the shopping streets, the local ferry, the bus company and individual shops all carry the characters, and fan visits became a measurable part of the local economy. Numazu is about an hour from Tokyo by Shinkansen and local train.

Where is Love Live! set?

The first series is set around Kanda Myojin shrine, seven minutes from Akihabara. Sunshine!! is set in Numazu in Shizuoka, about an hour from Tokyo.

What is there to do in Numazu?

Walk the shopping streets, where individual shops display characters, then take a bus to Uchiura for the bay and Mount Fuji across the water. Check bus times before going.
